Gabrielle is a Case Manager at SOBA College Recovery. Gabrielle graduated from Hampshire College, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science with a focus on trauma studies. After graduation, Gabrielle worked at a national reproductive justice organization in Boston, where she supported advocacy, grant writing, and direct support service efforts to assist low-income women and families across the country access affordable health care. While flying back and forth from Boston to Washington, D.C. supporting advocacy initiatives, Gabrielle realized her passion was in direct service work. Gabrielle returned home to pursue her master’s degree in clinical social work from Rutgers University.
During her graduate program, Gabrielle facilitated individual and group counseling services for students at a public school with co-occurring developmental, behavioral, and emotional disorders, and provided therapy and case management to individuals and families at a community mental health setting managing mood disorders, substance abuse, grief, and interpersonal conflict.
Gabrielle has also provided group facilitation, crisis intervention, and counseling services while volunteering with multiple adolescent and teen empowerment organizations in Massachusetts, New York, and New Jersey.
Gabrielle works from a strengths-based, solution-focused, client-centered approach to advocate for, collaborate with, and empower individuals towards lasting positive change in recovery.
Outside of work, Gabrielle is passionate about road trips, rescue dogs, old movies, and poetry.
